Here are some of the most common questions people ask before getting started. If you’re wondering about something not covered here, please feel free to reach out.
Integrative counselling means I draw from different therapeutic approaches to best support you as an individual. This allows us to work together in a way that feels right for you, whether you’re looking for gentle exploration, practical tools, or a mix of both.
Sessions are 50 minutes and can be held in-person, online via v—whichever feels most comfortable for you. We’ll meet weekly at a regular time, creating a steady space for your process.
You’re welcome to bring anything that’s on your mind—big or small. Some people come with a clear focus, while others just know they want things to feel different. There’s no right or wrong way to start.
Yes, everything you share is treated with respect and confidentiality. There are a few rare exceptions for safety, which I’ll explain fully before we begin, so you always know where you stand.
It’s completely normal to feel unsure or anxious about starting therapy. We’ll go at your pace, and you’re always welcome to share any worries or questions you have along the way. You don’t have to do this alone.
I work from a private therapy room in Stoke Poges, Buckinghamshire, and I also offer sessions online or by phone to clients across the UK.
I don’t offer crisis or emergency services. If you are in immediate danger or need urgent support, please contact your GP, call 999, or reach out to a crisis service such as Samaritans (116 123).
I ask for at least 48 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule a session. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice may be charged at the full session fee.
That depends on your needs. Some clients come for short-term work (around 6–12 sessions), while others benefit from longer-term support. We can review progress regularly and decide together what feels right for you.
I have a limited number of spaces for clients on a lower income. Please feel free to ask about availability if this would be helpful for you.
My fee is set at £60 per session with an initial 15 minute consultation included for free. Each session is 50 minutes.
After our consultation and before our first session, I will ask you to sign a Terms of Service agreement, this provides clarity for both of us and how we'll work together.
Therapy can lead to greater self-awareness, improved relationships, better emotional regulation, and a stronger sense of self. Every person’s experience is unique, and I’ll support you in exploring what feels most meaningful for you.
